We watch the news and see the complete moral decline that’s happening around us and throughout the world. It’s hard to avoid it, and it’s difficult to comprehend some of the strange views that seem to pop up almost daily. The reality that objective truth exists is being pushed away for a subjective view. Moral standards are no longer standards. Anything goes now. We are told that we all have a truth of our own and what’s morally right for one may be a prison for another.
Men mutilate themselves in an attempt to live their “truth”. Women kill their babies and feel it’s completely moral. Same sex marriage is pushed on everyone, and in many situations the full force of the law is used against those that oppose. It’s kind of like the Old West days now, but for delusional crossdressers, mentally sick men and women who hate their God given bodies, and mothers willing to sacrifice their child on the altar of Self.
The worldview that we are pressured to tolerate goes against all that God is and has done. This worldview is a denial of God but at the same time steals from God. For example, they say we each have “a” truth…. but truth only exist by God, He is truth and they have stolen this from the Christian view. They fight for the rights of a mother, by doing this they assign purpose and meaning to these mothers, which is another stolen factual view of the christian , then they kill babies claiming they aren’t human. They cannot stand without borrowing from the Christian and the Christians standard. Their very life points to the Creator and their borrowing from Him shows that although they are severely distorted, they must rely on the one they deny.
As Christians, our worldview is shaped by God and His word. We can know things for certain, and we can go to scripture to point these truths out. We have a moral compass guided by God and we are not only made in His image, but we are being further conformed to this image. We have our desires changed so they become His desires, and we live in full acknowledgement that His ways are right, His words are truth and what He sees as sin is what we sees as sin.
We begin to love what God loves and hate what God hates. And make no mistake, this will be seen as intolerant to the world. This will set you apart from people you care for and love, and this will make you look as a fool to the world. Logic demands that if we love something then we must hate that which goes against it. If we love children then we must hate abortion, if we love marriage then we hate any version that goes against it. Not only does simple logic demand this, but God does as well.
We must look at the world through the lense of scripture and scripture alone. The Inspired Word of God must be standard for all things. Our morality, our view of life and when it starts, our view of creation (more specifically the creation of man and woman), and our view of society as a whole. All things must flow from scripture and all claims of truth we give must come from the Bible, and any claims of truth given to us from others must meet up with the Bible.
We aren’t just clumps of cells moving around in the cosmos without purpose. We have value and meaning and it comes from the Creator. The Christian lives their life with this fact in mind and treats others with dignity, the non believer lives like this also but only gives dignity to those they choose or those that promote them.
With a proper view of the Word, the world, truth, humanity, and the preciousness of life, we can bring glory to God and shine a light in the darkest places of the earth. With love for God as our main goal we can show love to those who hate us and Him. Our worldview isn’t what changes the heart of the wicked, but with scripture as our standard, our view of the world will cause us to plead with the lost and our words may be the means that God uses to open the hearts of others so that the power of the gospel may be seen.
Charles Spurgeon once said, “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
That quote is the view that we need to take towards those who insist we tolerate their sins while they have no tolerance for Christ. Pray for those who are radically opposed to God. Pray for those they hurt through their agendas. Pray for our Legislators that God may be the standard they use when making policy and laws. Pray for the children being indoctrinated with these wicked views. Pray that parents would look to Christ and shelter these babies. And search yourself. Examine your views of these sensitive topics and if they do not align with God, repent.
